Kara Wade, LICSW, LCSW, SUDP

Kara is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Substance Use Disorder Professional in Washington and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of Portland and a Masters in Social Work with an Addiction Studies Program Certificate from Eastern Washington University. She is an Approved Clinical Supervisor, Certified Professional ADHD Clinical Services Provider, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional,

Certified Professional Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Services Specialist, and Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Professional.  

Her work as a mental health professional includes providing crisis intervention to individuals experiencing behavioral health distress. She has worked at an integrated outpatient clinic working with individuals with mental health and addiction issues. Kara enjoys working with adults, adolescents, families, and couples for individualized treatment. She enjoys working with Neurodivergent individuals to address motivation, focus and empowerment. As a Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, she has assisted individuals with navigating life challenges with a strengths-based approach. She is skilled at assessing and addressing addiction challenges for individuals and family systems. She uses Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in addition to Motivational Interviewing techniques.
