D. Ben Stimmel, LMFT

Ben is licensed as a Marriage & Family Therapist in Oregon and Washington. He graduated from Seattle Pacific University where he majored in Psychology, and from Fuller Seminary where he received his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  

His work as a mental health professional includes providing intensive outpatient counseling to a diverse population of inner-city children and families in Los Angeles, conducting therapy in a child and adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit, and crisis intervention services.  Ben has post-graduate training in Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy and Prolonged-Exposure treatment for trauma-related disorders. His passion is helping couples overcome the challenges of disconnection, remarriage, and infidelity. Currently he sees adolescents, adults, families and couples.

Ben regularly presents the popular “Parenting with Love and Logic” seminar throughout the Portland/Vancouver area. Ben is a clinical fellow with the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, and an approved supervisor for Oregon and Washington.
