I graduated from Susquehanna University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and women’s studies. I received my master’s degree in Community Counseling from Lewis & Clark Graduate School in 2012. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State.
I grew up in China and love working with people from other countries and cultures. I am fluent in spoken Mandarin Chinese. I utilize a person centered approach with interventions from CBT, ACT, and trauma informed care. I believe in the importance of identifying our individual values and what has gotten in the way of these values being more present in our lives. I pay particular attention to relationships, especially within therapeutic context. I strive to help individuals recognize their innate resources and find ways to utilize their individual strengths.
I have experience working with children/adolescents, families, and adults-with particular experience in working with survivors of trauma, LGBTQ individuals, and multicultural individuals. I provide an LGBTQ affirmative approach to psychotherapy which recognizes the immense value of each LGBTQ person’s well-being.
